Ivo Varbanov classical concert, 9 June, 2011
There would be also a wine tasting afterward of some of the wines from the tastings on the 3rd and 4th of June. So if you like classical music and wine, that would be a good occasion to come along and enjoy the evening. It is a comeback on stage for Ivo, after almost a two years break due to some serious health issues, so it will be a fairly emotional moment!
March Monthly Meeting at Counting House
We wish to invite all our Members and Friends to a great body-and-soul-warming celebration of special Bulgarian holidays Trifon Zarezan! We will celebrate with a wine tasting over a 4-course gourmet dinner on Thursday, 10 February. A four-course gourmet dinner, washed down by the fine award-winning wines from our own in-house viticulturalist supremo, Ivo Varbanov! Ivo Varbanov wines have recently been lauded by no other than the Editor of UK’s Decanter Wine Magazine Steven Spurrier, who wrote “If I had these wines under my own name, I would be proud of them.”
This month we are yielding to pressure from the West London lobbying group within the Club and drinks will be held at the BCC favourite Bar 190 at the Gore Hotel, 190 Queen’s Gate, London SW7 5EX tomorrow, 27 January, 2011, 7 pm onwards.
Absolutely no donner kebabs will be served. Come at your own risk.

Oxford Bulgarian Reception and Concert 02.03.2010
The evening provided another highlight for this Bulgarian day in Oxford: the concert of the London Bulgarian Choir. The hall at St John's College was packed, and the audience was thoroughly entertained. If you ever wondered what is common between Sigmund Freud and Bulgarian folklore, you should have been there. Suffice to say that, as it was revealed to the audience, the famous song "Dilmano Dilbero" conveys messages about a lot more than just planting peppers!
