We wish to invite all our Members and Friends to a great body-and-soul-warming celebration of special Bulgarian holidays Trifon Zarezan! We will celebrate with a wine tasting over a 4-course gourmet dinner on Thursday, 10 February.
A four-course gourmet dinner, washed down by the fine award-winning wines from our own in-house viticulturalist supremo, Ivo Varbanov! Ivo Varbanov wines have recently been lauded by no other than the Editor of UK’s Decanter Wine Magazine Steven Spurrier, who wrote “If I had these wines under my own name, I would be proud of them.”
The date is 10 February, 7pm, and the venue is the historic The Leather Exchange, 15 Leathermarket Street, SE1 3HN, and the menu, put together especially for this event and to complement the wines, is as follows:
Chicken consommé, poached quail egg wrapped in pancetta
Paired with Chardonnay 2009 Florestan by Ivo Varbanov
Truffle & Scallop risotto with crispy black pudding
Paired with Rosé 2008 En Blanc et Noir by Ivo Varbanov
Duo of lamb with fine herbs & chicken mousseline, dauphinoise potato, roasted root vegetables & red currant jus
Paired with Syrah 2008 Le Streghe by Ivo Varbanov
Chocolate mousse with raspberry liquid centre
Vegetarian option, no less delicious, is available upon request.
Tickets come at the inplausibly low for this value proposition £ 45 for Friends, and at £ 25 for full BCC Members!
Spaces are limited to 40, as usual “first-come first-served” basis and Members given a priority on the waiting list.
